"I was looking at regular e-bikes first, but I wanted something that felt closer to an electric dirt bike. The RidgeRacer is in a completely different category. The power comes on strong and the fat tires make the bike feel planted instead of sketchy. If power is one of the main reasons you're buying an e-bike, this is the one I would look at."

Glad I spent a little more for this one
I kept going back and forth between a cheaper e-bike and the RidgeRacer and finally decided I didn't want to buy twice. Really happy with that decision. It feels substantial, the riding position is comfortable for me and I like having the larger battery setup for longer rides. Definitely doesn't feel like a basic commuter bike.

The fat tires make a huge difference
The first thing I noticed was how stable this bike feels. I've ridden it across rough pavement and dirt sections where my regular bike gets bounced around and the wider tires and front suspension make it much more confidence inspiring. Plenty of power when you want it too. This has quickly become my weekend ride.

Exactly the aggressive e-bike I was looking for
I didn't want something that looked or rode like a little city commuter. This has that bigger electric dirt-bike feel I was after. The frame, fat tires and power give it a much more substantial feel, and I really like being able to see my ride information right on the display.

Range was the deciding factor for me
My biggest hesitation with electric bikes has always been worrying about the battery halfway through a long ride. The 30Ah battery setup was one of the main reasons I chose this model. I like being able to go out for a longer ride without constantly staring at the battery indicator.

I spent weeks comparing electric bikes because I didn't want to spend this kind of money and immediately wish I had bought something stronger. The RidgeRacer definitely doesn't feel like a basic commuter e-bike. The power is the first thing you notice. The big tires also give it a really planted feel. This was exactly the aggressive style of bike I was looking for.
★★★★★
Glad I went with the RidgeRacer
I almost bought a less expensive e-bike, but I knew power and battery capacity were the two things I would probably regret compromising on. I'm happy I went with the RidgeRacer. It feels substantial, looks awesome in person, and has more than enough power for the type of riding I wanted to do.
★★★★★
Definitely not your average e-bike
If you're looking for a little city cruiser, this probably isn't what you're after. I wanted something closer to an electric dirt-bike experience and that's where this bike makes sense. The acceleration feels strong and the 20-inch fat tires give it a completely different feel than the skinny-tire e-bikes I've ridden.
★★★★★
The fat tires make a huge difference
I've ridden regular bikes on some of the same rough roads and trails and there really isn't much comparison. The wider tires give the RidgeRacer a much more confident, planted feeling. Add the front suspension and it handles rougher surfaces much better than I expected. One of my favorite things I've bought in a long time.
★★★★★
Power was the deciding factor for me
There are hundreds of e-bikes online and after a while they all start looking the same. The 5500W setup is what made this one stand out to me. I wanted something I wasn't going to outgrow after a month. The RidgeRacer feels like a serious machine and that's exactly what I was hoping for.
★★★★★
Feels more like a small electric dirt bike
That's the best way I can describe it. It doesn't have the light little bicycle feel that a lot of e-bikes have. The frame, fat tires and power make it feel much more substantial. I bought it mainly for weekend riding and now I find myself looking for excuses to take it out.
★★★★★
The bigger battery sold me
Range anxiety was probably my biggest concern when shopping for an electric bike. I liked that the RidgeRacer uses a 48V 30Ah system because I'd rather have more battery capacity than I normally need. I haven't tried to squeeze every possible mile out of it, but having that extra headroom makes longer rides much more enjoyable.
★★★★★
Worth spending more for what I actually wanted
My original budget was lower, but every cheaper bike I looked at involved giving something up. Less power, smaller battery, skinny tires, etc. I finally decided I'd rather buy the bike I actually wanted the first time. No regrets. The RidgeRacer is powerful, comfortable for me and just plain fun.
★★★★★
I can't stop riding it
Bought this thinking it would mostly be a weekend toy. That lasted about three days. Now I'm taking it out any chance I get. It's quick, feels stable and the display makes it easy to keep an eye on what's going on while riding. Probably one of the most fun purchases I've made this year.
★★★★★
Exactly what I hoped it would be
Pictures made it look aggressive and thankfully it has the ride to match. The bike feels solid underneath you and there's plenty of electric power available. I especially like that I can use the gears and pedal when I want instead of it feeling like a one-dimensional electric scooter.
★★★★★
Bought it for trails, now I use it everywhere
I originally wanted the RidgeRacer mostly for dirt and rougher riding, but I've ended up using it around town too. The 20-inch fat tires are probably my favorite part because they give the bike a really stable footprint. It's definitely a bigger, heavier-duty ride than a traditional bicycle.
★★★★★
First e-bike and I think I spoiled myself
This is my first electric bike, so I don't have years of e-bike ownership to compare it with, but I'm impressed. The amount of assistance and power available completely changes riding. Hills and longer trips don't feel like something I have to plan my entire day around anymore.
★★★★☆
Powerful bike, take your time getting used to it
Very happy with it overall. My only advice is don't treat it like a normal bicycle the first five minutes you own it. There's a lot more power available and the bike feels substantial. Once I got comfortable with the controls and weight, it became incredibly fun to ride. Definitely glad I bought the bigger model.
★★★★★
Makes regular bike rides feel boring now
That's probably the biggest downside lol. After getting used to electric assist and having this kind of power available, going back to my old bike feels like work. I still pedal plenty, but now I can decide when I want the workout instead of every hill deciding for me.
★★★★★
A beast compared with the commuter bikes I tested
I tried a couple of more traditional e-bikes before ordering this and I'm glad I kept looking. The RidgeRacer has a completely different personality. Bigger stance, bigger tires and much stronger power. If that's the type of ride you're looking for, I think this makes a lot more sense than a standard commuter.
★★★★★
The range potential gives me peace of mind
I don't expect to ride the absolute maximum advertised distance because obviously terrain, rider weight and how you ride all matter. What I wanted was a large battery system so normal rides wouldn't have me obsessing over the battery gauge. That's exactly what I like about the 30Ah setup.
★★★★★
Feels very stable at speed
The combination of the wide tires and substantial frame is what stands out to me. I was a little nervous before my first ride because it's considerably more powerful than my old bike, but the wide footprint makes it feel planted. Once I got comfortable with it, I was hooked.
★★★★★
The perfect weekend escape
I've been trying to spend more time outside instead of sitting around the house on weekends and this bike actually made that easy. I just get on and start exploring. Roads, paths, dirt sections—it gives me a lot more freedom in deciding where I want to ride.
★★★★★
Looks even better in person
I bought it based mostly on the specifications, but the appearance surprised me. The big tires and aggressive frame give it much more presence than a regular e-bike. I've had several people ask me about it already. Definitely doesn't look like a cheap rental bike.
★★★★★
Strong acceleration without giving up bicycle functionality
What I like is that it's still a bike. You've got a 7-speed drivetrain and you can actually ride and pedal it, but then you've got serious electric assistance available when you want it. That versatility was important to me because I didn't want what was basically just an electric motorcycle.
★★★★☆
Heavy-duty in a good way
This isn't a lightweight bike that I'd want to carry up three flights of stairs every day, so keep that in mind. For actually riding it, though, I like the substantial feel. The weight, wide tires and power make it feel solid and confidence inspiring. I'd buy it again.
★★★★★
Bought one after months of research
I probably watched too many e-bike videos before finally ordering. My checklist was strong motor, big battery, fat tires, suspension and enough range that I wouldn't immediately want an upgrade. RidgeRacer checked those boxes better than most of what I found in this price range.
★★★★★
The kind of e-bike I actually wanted
A lot of e-bikes are designed primarily to be practical transportation. Nothing wrong with that, but I wanted FUN. Something I'd wake up Saturday morning excited to ride. That's what the RidgeRacer has been for me. The practical benefits are there too, but the fun factor is what really sold me.
★★★★★
Handles beat-up roads surprisingly well
Our roads aren't exactly smooth, so fat tires and suspension were high on my list. I'm really glad I didn't go with narrow tires. The bike feels considerably more comfortable and settled over cracked pavement and rough sections than my previous bicycle.
★★★★★
Plenty of bike to grow into
I'm still learning what this thing can do. That was actually part of why I bought it. I didn't want to max out a low-powered bike immediately and start shopping again six months later. There's more capability here than I need for most rides, and I'd rather have that than the opposite.
★★★★★
My car stays parked a lot more now
I didn't buy this as a car replacement, but for shorter trips I keep choosing the RidgeRacer. Parking is easier, riding is more enjoyable and I don't show up exhausted because I can decide how much assistance I want. Didn't expect to use it quite this much.
★★★★☆
Took a couple rides to learn it, now I love it
The first ride felt like a lot of bike because I was coming from a completely normal bicycle. By the third ride everything felt natural. I'm actually glad it's more powerful than I originally thought I needed because now I don't see myself wanting to upgrade anytime soon.
★★★★★
Really fun combination of bike and dirt-bike feel
This sits in a sweet spot for me. I can pedal and use the 7-speed drivetrain when I want the bicycle experience, then use the electric power when I want something much more exciting. Throw in the fat tires and aggressive riding position and it's a blast.
★★★★★
No buyer's remorse here
I hesitated because buying an e-bike online without riding it first felt like a gamble. I compared the specs repeatedly and finally went for it. I'm glad I did. The RidgeRacer ended up being much closer to what I had pictured in my head than the smaller commuter-style options.
★★★★★
If power and range are your priorities, put this on your shortlist
Those were my two priorities from day one. I wanted something with enough power to stay exciting and a battery system that didn't make every longer ride a math problem. The RidgeRacer checks both boxes for me, and the 20-inch fat tires and suspension are a big bonus. I would absolutely choose it again.
